Audit Senior – 80% Audit, 20% Accounts (Manchester)

About the role

This is a client‑facing Audit Senior position based in Manchester, split roughly 80% audit work and 20% accounts preparation. You will join a fast‑growing, progressive accountancy practice and work with a diverse portfolio of high‑growth SMEs, international groups and large corporate organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver audit assignments from planning through to completion for a varied client portfolio.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong and lasting relationships.
• Provide commercial insight and value‑added advisory support to help clients achieve strategic objectives.
• Collaborate closely with managers and partners to support firm growth and service excellence.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or nearing qualification).
• Proven experience within an accountancy practice, ideally leading audits.
• Strong technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting.
• Approachable, personable communication style.
• Career‑driven with ambition to take on new challenges and progress professionally.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
