Audit Senior – Corporate, Charity & Academy Clients

About the role

We are seeking an ACA or ACCA‑qualified Audit Senior to join our growing Warrington team. You will manage a diverse portfolio of corporate SMEs, charities and academies, delivering high‑quality audit assignments from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage audit assignments end‑to‑end under manager supervision.
• Take day‑to‑day responsibility for a varied client portfolio.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts.
• Lead audit teams and coordinate on‑site work.
• Review work completed by junior colleagues and provide feedback.
• Identify audit risks and escalate technical matters as needed.
• Act as primary point of contact for clients throughout the audit process.
• Coach and train junior team members.
• Ensure assignments are delivered accurately, efficiently and on time.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Proven external audit experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience managing the full audit cycle.
• Previous experience leading and supporting junior auditors on‑site.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and committed to technical development.
• Positive, collaborative approach with clients and colleagues.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of accounting software.
• Working knowledge of audit software.
