Audit Senior

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Senior to join a respected accountancy practice in Manchester City Centre. The role provides a platform to develop both audit and advisory expertise while working with a varied portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and growing entrepreneurial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit fieldwork assignments from planning through to completion.
• Manage audits, ensuring high‑quality delivery in partnership with Managers, Directors and Partners.
• Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and add value for clients.
• Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and other compliance assignments as required.
• Contribute to the growth and success of the audit team.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or due to qualify imminently.
• Up to 12 months post‑qualification experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience delivering external audit assignments.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Proactive, collaborative approach and a desire for continuous professional development.
• Ambition to progress within a growing practice.
