Backend Python Developer (Azure AI)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing consulting business, is building an AI‑driven platform on native Microsoft Azure services. They are seeking a Backend Python Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable, AI‑first backend solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain production‑grade backend services using Python.
• Develop and deploy AI‑powered features with Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB, Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Architect cloud‑native, scalable solutions and implement CI/CD pipelines on GitHub.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and uphold high code‑quality standards.
• Collaborate within agile sprints and contribute to technical design decisions.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience in Python backend development.
• Proven ability to build APIs and work with cloud‑native architectures.
• Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and distributed systems.
• Experience using GitHub for version control and CI/CD workflows.
• Agile mindset and comfort in a fast‑paced, iterative environment.
