Bookkeeper – Up to £45,000 p.a. in London

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Bookkeeper to join a fast‑growing media‑related SME in London. You will own the day‑to‑day transactional finance operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records while supporting the business as it expands.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the sales and purchase ledgers, posting journals and reconciling bank, credit‑card and third‑party accounts.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including reconciliations, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
• Liaise with solicitors on finance transactions held in legal accounts.
• Resolve finance queries from internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support the Finance Director in strengthening internal processes and bringing receivable/payable activities in‑house.

Required profile

• Hands‑on finance professional comfortable managing the full transactional finance cycle.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Enjoys collaborating within a close‑knit, entrepreneurial team.

Required skills

• Experience with ledger management, bank reconciliation and VAT filing.
• Proficiency in preparing management accounts and posting journal entries.
