Business Development Manager – Retail & Consumer Goods

About the role

Avanade is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive new revenue in the Retail and Consumer Goods sector. You will work with enterprise clients to sell digital transformation and consulting services, leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Focus on Retail enterprise clients and lead industry‑specific discussions with C‑suite executives.
• Identify high‑potential transformation deals and manage end‑to‑end sales cycles.
• Prospect, acquire, and develop fast‑growing business opportunities.
• Collaborate with partners and Microsoft account teams to generate new business.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline, including statements of work and contracts.
• Maintain deep knowledge of market conditions, competitive offerings, and service penetration.

Required profile

• Proven success as a business‑development hunter with strong closure capabilities.
• Solid experience selling IT and consulting solutions, especially large‑scale, multi‑year engagements.
• Demonstrated experience in the Retail and CPG market, engaging directly with senior executives.
• Track record of managing deals exceeding $250k and achieving annual sales targets of $3M+.
• Experience working with Microsoft account executives and selling across multiple solution areas (Apps & Infra, Modern Workplace, Biz Apps, Data & AI).
