Buyer – Procurement & Supply (Fixed‑Term, Edinburgh)

About the role

The Northern Lighthouse Board is seeking a Buyer on a two‑year fixed‑term contract based in Edinburgh, with hybrid working options. You will manage quotes for goods and services and support the Procurement and Supply team across marine, construction and ICT sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and process quotes for a wide range of goods and services.
• Support the Procurement and Supply team with below‑threshold procurement activities.
• Coordinate procurement activities across marine, construction and ICT sectors.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with public procurement regulations.

Required profile

• Hold or be willing to work towards a procurement or business qualification.
• Knowledge of UK public procurement legislation and the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations.
• Familiarity with Government Commercial Agency collaborative opportunities.
• Experience using financial systems and procurement platforms.
• Strong planning, time‑management and communication skills.
• Attention to accuracy and excellent IT proficiency.
