Caretaker / Cleaner – Estates Services Operative

About the role

Join Curo’s estates team in Bath and help keep residential communities clean, safe and welcoming. As a Caretaker/Cleaner you will work on a variety of practical tasks that maintain the appearance and safety of shared spaces across our housing estates.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of bulk waste such as furniture and white goods, and address fly‑tipping incidents.
• Maintain grounds by strimming, trimming overgrown bushes and clearing vegetation.
• Remove moss from pathways and keep access routes safe for residents.
• Clean communal areas including stairwells, entrances and outdoor spaces.
• Operate power tools and equipment like pressure washers and strimmers.
• Carry out reactive cleaning tasks in response to resident complaints.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing bins or installing bike racks.
• Complete paperwork and use digital systems to record work and materials.

Required profile

• Experience in a customer‑facing role where attention to detail is essential.
• Full, clean UK driving licence for travelling between sites.
• Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team and manage time reliably.
• Basic familiarity with mobile devices; full training on company systems will be provided.
