CHC Nurse Assessor – 3‑Month Interim (Hybrid)

About the role

Randstad Care is seeking an experienced CHC Nurse Assessor for a three‑month interim contract in Birmingham. The role is hybrid, with face‑to‑face Continuing Healthcare (CHC) assessments conducted on site and reporting completed from home.

Key responsibilities

• Determine eligibility for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding through new assessments, reviews and appeals.
• Work closely with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams to complete assessments promptly.
• Prepare and present recommendations to CCGs and CSUs and write case summaries for panel meetings.
• Develop strong links with health and social care colleagues and liaise with local authority teams on joint‑funded applications.
• Participate in MDT meetings and arrange CHC assessments with other professionals.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the National CHC Framework.
• Highly motivated, able to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage with individuals across a range of clinical conditions.
• Nursing qualification (Mental Health) and current NMC registration.
