Chemistry/Physics Teacher – Secondary School (Key Stages 3‑5)

About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Chemistry/Physics Teacher to join a thriving and forward‑thinking secondary school community. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational educator to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 within a supportive Science department dedicated to academic excellence, innovation and inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Chemistry and/or Physics across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, inspiring students to explore and question the world around them.
• Deliver high‑quality lessons that combine practical investigation with scientific theory and application.
• Use effective assessment and feedback to support progress and achievement for all learners.
• Contribute to the continued development of an ambitious and knowledge‑rich Science curriculum.
• Play an active role in the wider school community through enrichment clubs and collaborative planning.

Required profile

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has a strong subject background in Chemistry and/or Physics.
• Passionate about engaging young people in the sciences and fostering critical, independent thinking.
• Excellent classroom management and a reflective, research‑informed approach to teaching.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues and contributes positively to a supportive team culture.
