Civils Operative – Permanent Full‑Time Role in South East England

About the role

Join Trant Engineering to support the delivery of complex civil projects across the UK. You will assist site teams with general civils construction tasks, hand digging around services, drainage, pipe laying, concrete work, site cleanliness and material transport while adhering to health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist site teams with general civils construction tasks such as drainage, pipe laying, concrete works and hand digging around complex services.
• Promote health and safety, hold permits to work, wear PPE and report hazards, near‑misses and incidents.
• Maintain site cleanliness, transport materials and support the team to meet daily targets.

Required profile

• Valid CSCS Card and the right to work in the UK.
• 3+ years of experience in groundworking or operating 360‑tonne dumper machines.
• Desirable: CPCS/NPORS 360‑tonne or Dumper & Roller licences, NVQ Level 2 in Civil Engineering/Construction, Confined Space Awareness.
