Cleaning Assistant

About the role

Ryecroft Academy is looking for a dedicated Cleaning Assistant to join its facilities team on a part‑time basis. Working 10 hours per week, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff across the school premises.

Key responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, and specialist areas using appropriate equipment and materials.
• Follow health and safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals.
• Support the Site Manager and work collaboratively with the cleaning team.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene are consistently met throughout the academy.

Required profile

• Ability to safely use and store cleaning chemicals in line with procedures.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to follow instructions from senior staff.
• Basic reading skills to understand health‑ and safety information and product labels.
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Required skills
