Co-Production Officer – Strategic Commissioning

About the role

We have an opportunity to join as a Co-Production Officer in the new Strategic Commissioning Service within the Adult Care Directorate, coordinating co‑production and engagement to embed lived‑experience voices into commissioning, service design and improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the effective delivery of co‑production and engagement activity across the adult care directorate and wider council.
• Gather, analyse and share insight from people with lived experience to inform strategic commissioning.
• Facilitate inclusive engagement sessions with service users, partners and stakeholders.
• Ensure commissioned services are designed in a person‑centred, outcomes‑focused manner.
• Work with strategic partnerships and integrated care systems to embed co‑production principles.

Required profile

• Professional background in communication, social policy or commissioning with experience delivering co‑production and inclusive engagement.
• Proven experience influencing commissioning decisions, service design or transformation within adult care, health or public services.
• Knowledge of the full commissioning cycle, integrated care systems, strategic partnerships and CQC regulatory framework.
