Commercial Finance Manager / Analyst (Contract)

About the role

Robert Walters is conducting a search for an experienced Commercial Finance Manager / Analyst to support a retail client in South Buckinghamshire through a critical period ending December 2026. The role will focus on the upcoming busy budgeting cycle and will involve close interaction with senior leadership. The position is full‑time and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Produce the annual budget for designated business areas.
• Develop robust financial models to support budget submissions, scenario planning and decision‑making.
• Deliver weekly trading reports and commercial performance updates.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports with detailed variance analysis and commentary.
• Compile Board reporting packs, including KPIs, opportunities and strategic insights.
• Provide timely financial analysis to senior leadership during budget reviews and planning cycles.
• Support other finance areas as needed during the contract.

Required profile

• Proven experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
• Retail finance experience is advantageous.
• Ability to produce accurate financial models and analyses.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment with three days on‑site.
• Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver accurate insights.
