Commercial Operations Agent – Customer Communications

About the role

Join Santander Consumer Finance (SCUK) as a Commercial Operations Agent, supporting the Contract Hire Sales function across our Milton Keynes and Newport Pagnell offices. You will be the primary point of contact for Tesla customers during the credit decision stage, ensuring smooth communication and timely information collection.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular contact with the SCUK Direct Sales team to manage sales opportunities and optimise volumes.
• Support post‑credit operational fulfilment and coordinate the communication strategy with customers.
• Follow up on missing information to prevent delays and obtain data required by underwriting and funding teams.
• Process applications while handling sensitive customer data securely.
• Manage a daily pipeline of customers, updating internal systems within agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Generate and issue regulated documentation and coordinate manual or electronic processes.
• Assist during peak periods such as March and September registration plate changes.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous customer service experience in sales, operations or new‑business roles within automotive‑related financial services.
• Understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance issues, including FCA principles and the Consumer Duty.
• Familiarity with automotive finance products such as retail finance and leasing.
• Demonstrated ability to meet SLAs and maintain high productivity.
