Consultant Respiratory Physician

About the role

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two Consultant Respiratory Physicians to join a large, integrated respiratory team. One post focuses on lung cancer and pleural disease, the other on tuberculosis and complex lung infections. The roles are based at Wexham Park Hospital with clinics at King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver general respiratory outpatient clinics and specialist clinics (lung cancer/pleural or TB/infection).
• Perform weekly procedural lists including bronchoscopy, EBUS and pleural interventions as appropriate.
• Participate in ward duties, respiratory HDU weekend on‑call, and general internal medicine weekday on‑call rotas.
• Triaging of ERS referrals and supporting the NHS‑funded latent TB screening programme.
• Contribute to the department’s research and development initiatives, including lung cancer screening rollout.

Required profile

• Full CCT in Respiratory Medicine, preferably with recent experience in lung cancer, pleural disease, TB or complex infections.
• Ability to work full‑time (10PA) or part‑time (8PA) as described.
• Commitment to teaching, multidisciplinary teamwork and service development.
