About the role

As a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager based in Manchester, you will support the tax team in delivering both compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of professional services clients. The role is pivotal in ensuring accurate corporate tax filings and providing insightful tax advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporate tax compliance processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review tax computations and returns for clients.
• Support tax advisory projects, researching and interpreting UK tax legislation.
• Act as a point of contact for client tax queries and help maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks, providing proactive recommendations.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated services.
• Mentor junior team members, offering guidance and support.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in tax legislation and share insights with the team.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax regulations and compliance.
• Experience in tax advisory and compliance within the professional services industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA are advantageous.
