Corporate Tax Manager – London

About the role

The Corporate Tax Manager will join a growing corporate tax team in the City of London, working three days on‑site and two days remotely. Reporting to senior managers, the role supports the delivery of high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with audit and accounting teams to manage delivery timetables.
• Oversee client deadlines, ensure timely submission of signed accounts to the iXBRL team.
• Review tax provisions, accounting schedules and tax computations prepared by junior staff.
• Support advisory projects such as group restructurings, international expansions, share schemes and tax efficiency reviews.
• Manage work‑in‑progress and billing for the assigned portfolio, ensuring commercial recoveries.
• Guide and supervise trainee team members, providing feedback and ensuring adherence to firm policies.
• Assist with administrative tasks and internal projects to improve team operations.
• Review and sign off tax computations where authorised.

Required profile

• Strong ability to explain complex tax issues to non‑specialists.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of SME and large‑corporate tax matters.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of tax impact on business decisions.
• Proven experience managing a small client portfolio profitably.
• ACA/CA/CTA qualification or equivalent.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, especially during busy periods.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with Alphatax tax software.
