Cover Supervisor – Flexible Full‑time/Temp Role in Sheffield

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to step into classrooms across Sheffield when the regular teacher is absent. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a structured, dynamic school environment where you will deliver pre‑set lessons and maintain a focused learning atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑set lesson plans and ensure pupils stay on task.
• Maintain strong behaviour management and uphold school policies.
• Encourage student participation and support completion of assigned work.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil performance and behaviour.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management abilities.
• Calm, confident approach to handling groups and challenging situations.
• Proactive, reliable work ethic.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
