Cover Supervisor – Flexible Part‑time (Sunbury‑on‑Thames)

About the role

Reeson Education is working with a secondary school in Sunbury‑on‑Thames to provide a flexible, part‑time Cover Supervisor. You will manage groups of up to 30 students, delivering set work to a high standard with limited preparation time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cover for registration and daily lessons when the regular cover is unavailable.
• Deliver lessons to a high standard, often at short notice and with limited preparation.
• Create a positive learning climate using the school’s behaviour policies and gold classroom standards.
• Support students’ self‑esteem through positive interaction, praise and encouragement.
• Assist in developing and implementing SEN support plans.

Required profile

• Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher.
• Interest in and knowledge of autism.
• Experience managing behaviours of distress.
• Proven ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm.
• Basic IT literacy using Microsoft software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
