Cover Supervisor – Flexible Supply Role in Secondary Schools

About the role

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work on a supply basis in secondary schools across Chislehurst. The role involves supervising whole classes during a teacher’s short‑term absence, ensuring pupils stay on task and complete set work.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure students complete the work provided by the teacher.
• Create a safe, positive and productive learning environment.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people (desirable).
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Confident, professional and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
