Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Part‑time Contractor)

About the role

Reeson Education is supporting a large mixed secondary school in Oxted. The school seeks a part‑time Cover Supervisor to start in September 2026. You will manage a class of around 30 students, deliver set work to a high standard and help create a positive learning climate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cover for registration and deliver lessons with limited preparation time, sometimes at short notice.
• Maintain a positive learning environment using the school’s behaviour policies and gold classroom standards.
• Support students’ self‑esteem through praise, encouragement and positive interactions.
• Assist with the development and implementation of SEN support plans.

Required profile

• Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher.
• Interest in and knowledge of autism.
• Experience managing distressed behaviours and solving problems quickly while remaining calm.
• Basic IT literacy using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
