Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Part‑time/Contract)

About the role

Reeson Education is supporting a large mixed secondary school in Oxted that needs a reliable Cover Supervisor from September 2026. You will work independently with groups of around 30 students, delivering set work to a high standard and creating a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cover for registration and deliver lessons with limited preparation time.
• Maintain a positive climate for learning using the school's behaviour policies and gold classroom standards.
• Manage student behaviour fairly and consistently.
• Support students’ self‑esteem through praise and encouragement.
• Assist with the development and implementation of SEN support plans.

Required profile

• Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher.
• Interest in, and knowledge of, autism.
• Experience managing distressed or challenging behaviours.
• Ability to solve problems quickly while remaining calm.

Required skills

• Basic IT literacy with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
