Credit Risk Manager – US Corporate and SME Clients

About the role

As Credit Risk Manager you are responsible for credit risk assessment of our US corporate and SME clients. You will also improve standards, documentation and the tech stack while collaborating closely with the CRO and teams across Sales, Legal, Operations, Product, Data and Risk.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence to assess customers' business models, public and financial profiles.
• Underwrite by analysing credit agency reports, financial statements and bank statements, identifying key risks and mitigants.
• Make credit decisions on limit requests within delegated authority and help maintain a performing loan book.
• Design and implement scalable, compliant straight‑through processes, leveraging AI capabilities.
• Facilitate clear, fact‑based communication between stakeholders to foster a culture of open dialogue and excellent results.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of operational experience in credit risk assessment for US corporate or SME customers, preferably in a bank or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and industry‑specific financial analysis; CFA or similar qualification is a plus.
• Analytical thinking, detail orientation and ability to quickly understand new problems and design solutions.
• Experience with loan‑processing, credit‑decisioning, BI, open‑banking or accounting tools.
• Project‑management skills with a proven ability to lead complex end‑to‑end projects.
• Determination to deliver high‑quality results under pressure and fluent English communication skills.
