Customer Planner

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Planner to join our Glenrothes plant, supporting the order fulfilment of radial piston motors for global OEMs. You will act as the primary contact for customers, ensuring orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Create and process individual orders and complex scheduling agreements for radial piston motors.
• Review customer orders to ensure they meet agreed parameters and confirm delivery dates while balancing capacity constraints.
• Track open orders and backlog, proactively communicate any delays, and devise solutions to exceed customer expectations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to guarantee timely order fulfilment and coordinate preponements or postponements.
• Liaise with the dispatch team to arrange special transports or air‑freight when required.
• Maintain regular customer communications, act as the first point of contact and handle first‑level escalations.
• Partner with customers to develop rolling forecasts, analyse order patterns and verify forecast accuracy.
• Generate reports, monitor key performance indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives, including SAP enhancements.
• Ensure meticulous order archiving for easy data access.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of order fulfilment processes and supply chain dynamics.
• Proven experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP, in order processing.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑centric mindset.
• High attention to detail.
