Deputy Nursery Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a well‑established nursery in Roehampton. The role can start immediately or in September 2026 and offers a flexible 4‑ or 5‑day week. This position is ideal for an Early Years professional ready to step into senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with day‑to‑day operations and administration.
• Lead practice across the setting, ensuring high standards of safeguarding, learning and care.
• Assist with staff development, performance management and team motivation.
• Oversee observations, planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
• Work closely with families and external professionals to support children’s progress.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years (recognised as full and relevant by DfE).
• Previous experience in nursery leadership or senior practitioner roles.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Confident team leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Caring, proactive and professional approach to child development.
