Director, Quality Audit

About the role

Grant Thornton is seeking a senior Director to join its Quality Audit team. You will lead high‑impact "hot reviews" of audit engagements, ensuring the firm delivers the highest standards of audit quality and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hot reviews of audit engagements, challenging procedures and documentation.
• Coach audit partners and teams to implement quality improvements.
• Identify firm‑wide issues and drive ad‑hoc projects to enhance audit quality.
• Collaborate with the audit standards team to deliver training and support FRC inspections.
• Provide expertise to the legal team on audit‑related matters.

Required profile

• Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, CA or ACCA).
• Experience in listed audits, audit quality control and audit inspections.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.
• Strong analytical and insight skills.
