Divisional Director – Operations (Fixed‑term)

About the role

Busy Bees is seeking a senior operational leader to act as Divisional Director – Operations on a fixed‑term basis. You will oversee a large multi‑site early years division of 45‑60 nurseries, driving performance, quality and commercial results across the South East and South West London region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the regional operational strategy in line with divisional goals.
• Drive key metrics such as occupancy, profitability, quality, and compliance.
• Identify and implement operational improvements and efficiency gains.
• Maintain excellence in Ofsted readiness, safeguarding, quality, and health & safety.
• Coach, develop and performance‑manage Area Directors.
• Foster a high‑performance culture and embed organisational values.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with local authorities, regulators and suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven senior operational leader with experience managing large, multi‑site operations.
• Background in early years, education, hospitality, social care or retail is preferred.
• Strong track record of delivering commercial and quality outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
