End User Support Technician

About the role

Thales is seeking an End User Support Technician to join its Crawley office, providing desktop and device support for approximately 2,500 users across a multi‑network environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd/3rd line desktop support for user calls, handling incidents up to Priority One and a range of service requests.
• Build, rebuild and deploy desktop and laptop machines using SCCM and manual processes in line with Desktop‑on‑Demand standards.
• Support and deploy smartphones (iPhone and Android) and maintain a kiosk‑based drop‑in support centre.
• Deliver support within contractual hours (minimum 37 hrs/week) and be available for occasional evening, weekend or on‑call duties.
• Collaborate with remote teams and interact with users at all levels, including senior VIPs.

Required profile

• Experience working in an IT support environment with face‑to‑face user interaction.
• Ability to diagnose faults quickly and provide effective solutions.
• Resilience to challenging feedback and strong communication with users.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to work with remote sites.

Required skills

• Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems.
• Microsoft Office applications.
• System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for imaging and deployment.
• Smartphone support for iPhone and Android devices.
