About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in central Birmingham. The position starts in September and offers a long‑term, full‑time opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of extending to Key Stage 5 based on experience.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that meet the curriculum standards for Key Stages 3‑4.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.
- Maintain effective classroom management and promote a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross‑curricular projects and share best practices.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities that enhance students' appreciation of literature and language.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
- Commitment to raising student attainment and fostering engagement.
