About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in North Cambridgeshire. The role involves delivering engaging lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop confidence and a love for English Language and Literature.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the English department to develop curriculum and share best practices.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a supportive learning environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, but not essential.
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of English Language and Literature.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Passion for raising attainment and inspiring young people.

- Competitive daily rate of £170‑£220, dependent on experience.
- Long‑term placement with potential for a permanent contract from January 2027.
