Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the target‑state architecture across business, data, application, integration, infrastructure and security domains, keeping it current as the estate evolves.
• Set architecture principles, standards and reusable patterns that engineering and product teams adopt.
• Own an integrated technology roadmap that sequences change, retires duplication and reduces technical debt while aligning domain roadmaps.
• Architect for scale with multi‑tenancy, entity separation, shared services and non‑functional standards to onboard new brands without rebuilding the platform.
• Design cross‑region product capabilities—data residency, localisation, currency, regulation—through configurable patterns rather than forked codebases.
• Partner with the VP Data & AI to create reference architectures for AI and agentic capabilities, covering model access, orchestration, evaluation and human oversight.
• Embed security, privacy and resilience into every design, collaborating closely with the Director of Information Security & Privacy.
• Lead a design authority focused on high‑impact decisions, not routine sign‑offs.
• Mentor architects and engineers across the business, raising design thinking standards without a formal reporting line.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior leadership and represent architecture to clients, partners and auditors where contractual.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect (or equivalent senior architecture role) spanning business, data, application, integration, infrastructure and security domains.
• Track record of leading through influence and technical authority rather than formal management, aligning engineering and product teams to a target state.
• Experience architecting multi‑region, multi‑brand or multi‑tenant products with practical patterns for localisation and regulatory variation.
• Hands‑on understanding of embedding AI/agentic capability responsibly, including data governance, evaluation and human oversight.
• Security‑by‑design mindset, comfortable working alongside information security and privacy functions.
• Strong communication skills to convey architectural trade‑offs to engineers and executives.
