Escalator Technician – Senior Field Service Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Escalator Technician to join Stannah’s field service team in London. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, refurbishment and repair of escalators and related equipment, ensuring safety and reliability for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out escalator maintenance, inspections, surveys and resolve technical faults.
• Perform detailed technical assessments and fault diagnosis, delivering timely solutions.
• Produce process documentation, cost reports and progress updates.
• Monitor site safety, compliance and performance of engineers and subcontractors, completing risk assessments.
• Manage technical queries, material procurement and client liaison.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours call‑out rota and maintain vehicle, PPE and van stock.

Required profile

• Minimum NVQ Level 4 qualification.
• Proven experience maintaining and repairing electrical, mechanical or electronic equipment in a customer environment.
• Ability to mentor and train field engineers.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
