About the role
Pearson is seeking qualified examiners to mark GCE A Level Economics (2016 specification) scripts. Marking is performed remotely using the ePEN digital platform, allowing you to work from home while contributing to the assessment process for thousands of candidates.
Key responsibilities
- Mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently according to the pre‑defined mark scheme.
- Submit sample scripts to your Team Leader by the designated deadlines.
- Adhere to marking milestones and complete all required administrative tasks.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions between May and June.
Required profile
- At least one academic year of teaching experience within the last eight years, preferably in economics or a related subject.
- A degree or equivalent qualification.
- High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme correctly.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the ePEN marking platform or similar digital assessment tools.
- Strong understanding of examination procedures and recognition conditions.
