About the role
We are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Tameside area. This full‑time, temporary position runs Monday to Friday from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm, starting September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for pupils.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Required profile
- EYFS degree.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or an Ofsted‑recognised equivalent.
- Recent experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
- Passion for early childhood education and a reliable, enthusiastic attitude.
