EYFS/KS1 Teacher – Maternity Cover (Bolton)

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Primary Teacher to cover a maternity leave in a two‑form entry primary school in Bolton. The role starts in September 2026 and runs full‑time until the end of the academic year, teaching either Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Year 1.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for EYFS or Year 1 pupils.
- Implement phonics programmes and support literacy development.
- Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within EYFS or Key Stage 1.
- Passion for inclusive education and high‑quality teaching.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of phonics programmes.
- Effective classroom management techniques.
