Finance and Portfolio Senior Associate – Private Equity

About the role

This senior finance position sits within a market‑leading secondaries private equity investor. You will own the analytical, financial and accounting oversight of multiple investment funds, mentor junior colleagues and drive best practice across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and report portfolio and investor performance across several vehicles, reviewing junior work for accuracy.
• Lead the quarterly valuation process, prepare Valuation Committee materials and calculate performance metrics.
• Produce end‑to‑end investor reporting, including quarterly management reports and Advisory Board presentations.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders in the US and Europe, collaborating with finance, investment, operations and investor‑relations teams.
• Act as primary escalation point for fund administrator queries and lead onboarding of new fund entities.
• Monitor and control fund cash flows at investor and portfolio‑company level, ensuring effective liquidity management.
• Review and sign off quarterly financial statements, resolve complex accounting issues and manage policy escalations.
• Take responsibility for debt facilities, interest payments and lender reporting, understanding leverage impact.
• Lead strategic finance initiatives, improve processes, enhance controls and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in private‑equity fund finance or a comparable investment‑focused environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex fund activities and interact with senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across global teams.
