Finance Business Partner - Business Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner for Business Services to provide high‑quality financial data and advice, supporting the delivery of our strategic plans. The role includes managing statutory returns, VAT submissions and the monthly payroll delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for business services departments on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and in‑year spend monitoring.
• Prepare allocated sections of management accounts in close collaboration with all business services teams.
• Lead and manage the Accounts Payable function across the full purchase‑to‑pay process.
• Prepare sections of the annual report and financial accounts, covering debtors, creditors, operating lease commitments and payroll.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and maximise VAT recoveries.
• Oversee the monthly payroll delivery.

Required profile

• Strong digital skills, including advanced Excel and specialist finance systems.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS102, Housing SORP and related compliance requirements in social housing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• CCAB‑qualified accountant with experience in accounts payable, financial planning, reporting and analysis.
• Proven problem‑solving capabilities.
