Finance Manager – Path to Finance Director

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing, privately‑owned consultancy in central London. The Finance Manager will work closely with a Fractional CFO and the senior leadership team, shaping commercial decisions and preparing to step into a Finance Director role.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the finance function and drive its development.
• Partner directly with owners and senior leaders to influence strategic decisions.
• Improve financial systems, reporting, and processes.
• Mentor and develop a small finance team.
• Build a finance capability that supports the next stage of growth.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or progressing towards qualification).
• Proven experience producing management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Enjoy improving systems and finding smarter ways of working.
• Ability to build relationships with non‑finance colleagues.
• Background in consultancy, recruitment, professional services, agencies, project‑led businesses or similar SMEs.
• Ambitious, commercially minded and seeking long‑term career progression.
