Finance Manager – Term‑Time Role in Manchester

This position provides a broad, responsible remit where you can apply commercial and technical finance expertise while benefiting from a term‑time focused working pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support budgeting and forecasting across the Trust.
• Produce accurate management accounts and financial reports.
• Monitor budgets, investigate variances and provide meaningful commentary.
• Provide financial advice and guidance to senior leaders and budget holders.
• Support longer‑term financial planning, sustainability and audit compliance.
• Maintain strong financial controls, processes and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Recognised finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ACA), at least part‑qualified.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret financial information and explain it to non‑finance colleagues.
• Proactive, practical and solutions‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Financial systems proficiency.

What we offer

• Salary £37,771 – £39,681 per year.
• Term‑time working pattern plus 4 additional weeks.
• 8:00 am – 4:00 pm working hours.
• Location in Manchester.
