Financial Accountant – Hybrid – London

About the role

Our client, a global asset management firm, is seeking a part‑qualified Financial Accountant to join their London office. The role combines month‑end financial control, billing, and process improvement responsibilities while offering hybrid working and a supportive, collaborative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end close for revenue, pre‑payments, accruals and fixed assets.
• Own the end‑to‑end month‑end process for a regulated entity, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review bank transactions, customer invoices and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Assist with year‑end activities and liaise with external auditors.
• Drive continuous improvement using AI tools and automation to enhance productivity.
• Perform billing and analytical procedures to ensure accurate accruals.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with at least 2 years of accounts production and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in the financial services sector is desirable, especially asset or investment management.
• Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• Strong multi‑tasking ability, initiative and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (IndexMatch, SumIf, XLookup, Pivot Tables).
• VBA (optional).
• SQL (optional).
