Financial Accountant - Investments

About the role

We are seeking a part‑qualified ACA/ACCA Financial Accountant to join a single‑family office in North London. The role blends core financial accounting with investment reporting across private equity, quoted equities and property assets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies.
• Process payments, inter‑company transfers and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support the principal’s personal tax affairs.
• Produce cash‑flow forecasts and reports for senior leadership.
• Execute balance‑sheet reconciliations and year‑end accounts.
• Generate credit risk reports.
• Assist in reporting for private equity, quoted equity and property investments.
• Prepare investment performance analysis and portfolio reporting.
• Identify process improvements, including the use of AI tools.
• Support the wider finance team on various projects.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACA or ACCA with more than half of exams completed.
• 2‑3 years’ experience in a commercial finance role.
• Proven experience in bank reconciliations, payments, VAT and core financial accounting.
• Strong interest in investments and desire to broaden commercial exposure.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
