Financial Controller – Italian Speaking (Hybrid, London)

About the role

Nomad Foods is looking for a qualified Financial Controller who is fluent in Italian to join its finance team in Hammersmith, London. Working in a hybrid setting, you will support the finance operations of several leading frozen‑food brands and help embed a new ERP system across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit indirect tax reports such as VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales List on time.
• Lead the preparation of local statutory accounts, coordinating with outsourced service providers when required.
• Close the month‑end reporting cycle accurately and meet all deadlines.
• Manage the end‑to‑end record‑to‑report (R2R) process for assigned markets.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including SOX controls for the SSC.
• Support Group Finance during the annual and monthly accounting cycles.
• Perform monthly ledger reconciliations and maintain a true general‑ledger position.
• Apply advanced IFRS knowledge to financial transactions and reporting.
• Oversee internal and external auditor requests and maintain strong relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
• Fluent in Italian.
• Proven experience managing a team of accountants and third‑party providers.
• Track record of driving continuous improvement in accounting, close and reporting processes.
• Hands‑on approach with the ability to delegate and supervise effectively.
