FM Business Unit Director – Healthcare (Midlands & Hampshire)

About the role

The FM Business Unit Director – Healthcare will provide senior leadership for three large acute contracts across the Midlands and Hampshire. You will be responsible for safe, compliant, and resilient delivery of both hard and soft facilities management services within live hospital environments.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute regional FM strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and high‑performing team development.
• Maintain executive‑level relationships with NHS Trusts, PFI stakeholders, clinical and estates leaders.
• Oversee a portfolio of complex PFI healthcare contracts (~£120 m revenue) and associated project delivery.
• Account for P&L performance, governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Ensure all work is planned, authorised, and delivered safely with robust change control.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in facilities management within healthcare settings.
• Strong track record of P&L responsibility and risk governance.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain executive relationships with NHS and PFI partners.
• Experience managing large‑scale contracts and delivering service continuity.
