Food Technology Teacher – Birmingham Secondary School

About the role
The Teach Team is partnering with a well‑resourced secondary school in Birmingham to find an enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher. You will work five days a week, delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students and helping them develop practical cooking skills and nutritional knowledge.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Food Technology lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Assess student work, monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a safe, inclusive and motivating classroom and kitchen environment.
- Maintain classroom and kitchen safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Required profile
- Experience teaching Food Technology or related vocational subjects in a secondary school.
- Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Current enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
