Franchise Accountant – Build Your Own Practice

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Franchise Accountant to join our network of independent accounting practices across the North West. You will operate your own AIMS Accountants for Business franchise, delivering a full range of accounting services to local small and medium‑size enterprises while benefiting from our brand, training and ongoing support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accounting, tax and advisory services to SME clients in your territory.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of your franchise, including client appointments and service delivery.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards and ensure the practice holds a valid Practising Certificate.
• Collaborate with the AIMS central team for marketing, website setup and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Eligible to hold a Practising Certificate from your professional body.
• Strong commercial awareness and a desire to build and grow your own client portfolio.

Required skills

• Expertise in UK accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Proficiency in standard accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
