About the role
Prospero Teaching is partnering with a Good‑rated, large mixed‑sex secondary school in Newham, East London. The school seeks a motivated French and Spanish teacher to join a thriving Modern Foreign Languages department, delivering high‑quality lessons to KS3, KS4 and KS5 pupils from September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging French and Spanish lessons for Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and departmental resources.
- Participate in parent evenings, staff meetings and school events.
- Support behaviour management and safeguarding policies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- PGCE, SCITT, Teach First or a relevant degree in French, Spanish or Modern Languages.
- Ability to teach both languages at secondary level.
- Commitment to creating a positive, respectful learning environment.
Required skills
- Strong subject knowledge in French and Spanish.
- Effective classroom management techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
