GCSE Core Subjects Tutor – 1:1 Tuition in Wiltshire

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic GCSE Core Subjects Tutors to deliver high‑quality 1:1 tuition for children and young people across Wiltshire. You will support learners in English, Maths and Science, helping them overcome barriers, rebuild confidence and make steady academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised 1:1 tuition in GCSE English, Maths and Science.
• Adapt lessons to each learner’s needs, especially for those with SEND, EHCPs or additional challenges.
• Monitor and report progress, ensuring alignment with local authority expectations.
• Travel within Wiltshire to conduct sessions, maintaining a professional and supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring or learning support.
• Strong knowledge of one or more GCSE core subjects.
• Ability to deliver engaging, personalised learning sessions.
• Experience with SEND/EHCP learners is desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills; patient, adaptable and proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver’s licence preferred or willingness to travel locally.
