General Practitioner – High Earning Potential in Newcastle

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our long‑established practice serving Newcastle and surrounding suburbs. You will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care with full clinical and administrative support, working across our two modern clinics in Charlestown or based at a single site, with opportunities to develop special interests such as skin, women’s health, mental health or chronic disease.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population.
• Utilise telehealth and integrated digital platforms to maintain continuity of care.
• Collaborate with practice staff to ensure efficient patient flow across both sites.
• Document consultations, referrals and tasks using AI‑assisted tools.
• Participate in professional development and optional special‑interest clinics.

Required profile

• Qualified General Practitioner eligible for Australian Medicare provider numbers (DPA & M1 zoning).
• Willingness to work full‑time, part‑time, hybrid or telehealth arrangements.
• Interest in relocating internationally or locally to Newcastle.
• Commitment to delivering patient‑centred care and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Best Practice (BP) practice management software.
• Experience using cloud‑based phone systems for telehealth.
• Familiarity with Cubiko for billing optimisation and care planning.
• Ability to work with Heidi AI Assistant for automated notes and referrals.
• Comfort with integrated telehealth platforms and remote system access.
