Governance Assurance Project Manager – Fixed Term (1 year)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Governance Assurance Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of regulatory compliance activities within Brunelcare’s Housing Services. This fixed‑term position (12 months) will focus on preparing for inspections by the Regulator of Social Housing and driving continuous improvement across our housing portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain evidence bases to demonstrate compliance with Consumer Standards.
• Lead preparation for regulator inspections, including improvement plan creation and milestone tracking.
• Support operational teams in implementing action plans arising from audits and self‑assessments.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks and report on delivery against key milestones.
• Promote innovation, continuous improvement and awareness of regulatory responsibilities across the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement experience within the social housing sector.
• Solid understanding of the Regulator of Social Housing Consumer Standards and related regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead improvement plans and deliver organisational change.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and develop action plans.
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience; professional membership (e.g., CIH, APM) or project management qualification is advantageous.
